I started my Chinese blog in 2006. I love playing with it, like try different temples, learn how to write html code, add music and pictures into my blog etc.. I love sharing my experience with people that I know and people that I don’t know. I hope people can share my happiness by reading my articles. So far, I have 64,180 clicks and 834 followers.
There are a lot of people asked me the reason that I started a blog. At first, one of my friends said, “Could you register a blog with me?” And, I did without further thinking. I thought I will give up soon after my friend quitted, but I keep it until today.
A famous Chinese actress named Song Dandan wrote on her twitter, “I write this blog is actually for my son, my grandson, and my great grandson… Everyone will leave this world. If one day I left, you (my son) and your son wanna know more about me. You can just type my name on internet, and it will tell you everything about me. You are still young, and you may understand how much I love you one day. I’m not as excellent as people think, but the most excellent thing that I did is giving you a birth.” I almost cried after reading these sentences. As a not famous person, what can I left after I disappeared from this world? Blog might be a good choice.
It’s really fun to write a blog in English. I learned a lot of interesting web tools from my professor, such as mashup, visuwords and so on. If you ask me which one is my favorite post so far, I would say all of them. I wrote every single post using my heart. I may keep writing in the future, and hope there are more and more people can enjoy my writing.

WELCOME TO MY BLOG❤
Coe College
Wanna be a child forever
I have been studying abroad for around three years, and I only go back to China once or twice a year. I miss my hometown, my families, the food made by Mum and everything else you cannot have while you are far away from home.
I found a person who designs T-shirt in Lindale Mall. I went there and bought three T-shirts yesterday. The three words on these shirts are “Father” “Mother” and “Daughter”. I took a picture of these three shirts and shared it on my Chinese twitter and wrote down: “My dear Mum and Dad, wait for me! Once I go back home, let’s wear these shirts and travel together. Dad will wear ‘Father’, Mum will wear ‘Mother’, and I will wear ‘Daughter.” My Mum retweet it and made a comment, “It’s so sweet to have a daughter.”
There is website named visuwords which is really interesting. If you type in a word, then the website will provide some words which are related to the one that you typed in. I tried computer first, and it gives me tons of words. Then, I tried “hometown”, there is only one word showed up “town”. I start to think if I was the website, what kind of words that I can give that are related to “hometown”. Family? Food cooked by Mum? Friends? A place where you grew up? The definition of “hometown” is different from person to person. For me, where my families are, where my hometown is.
Only 24 days left. I will go back home and be a child. I like be showered by my parents love.
“What” is the word that will make foreigners feel nervous
What’s the word that will make foreigners feel nervous? It is “what”. Sometimes I talked to my American friends, and they answered “What?”, then I will start to think why they didn’t catch my English. Check the following picture, you will understand the reason why we feel nervous….
Information anxiety neurosis? Are you?
I heard this word in a Chinese TV program-“If you are the one” several weeks ago. It perfectly describes people like us who feel worried if someone else gets more information than we do. For example, if some of my friends start to use Facebook, I will feel they own more information than me, so I will apply for an account as soon as possible. I just think it’s an interesting word, so I use it as the title.
After I started my college life, I found a lot of people use twitter. Then, I registered an account, even though I seldom use it. I’m following some big companies like coke cola, Nike and my college. We also have mini blog in China which is really similar to twitter. I think it definitely stole twitter’s idea. I was sharing dishes that I cooked every day and some random thoughts and complains. Our Chinese twitter can share pictures and videos; I’m also following one of my classmate’s blog :http://angelea-photoaday.blogspot.com/ . I love it because we both love taking pictures every day and sharing them with other people.
I wrote on my Chinese twitter: There are five kinds of people are using twitter. 1. The authors: who love sharing things with others 2. The stars: usually famous person, even a simple word will attract tons of comments in one second. 3. The advertisers: most of them are companies’ twitter 4. The retwitters: whoever loves retweeting. 5. The twitter-complexes: whoever always checks twitter. If they don’t check twitter for 5 mins, they will feel nervous.
I keep thinking why modern people have Information anxiety neurosis, and I have get the answer yet…

Copyrights in China VS in America
I was surprised by how strict the copyright is in America when I first wrote an English paper. I had no idea what APA style is and how I should reference. I was struggling with the APA style for a really time and asked several professors how I can quote something properly.
In China, the copyright is no strict at all. Or, I should say there is nearly no copyright in China. We can download musics for free, watch movies for free, read some books for free etc.. There are too many people who said the same sentence and had the same opinion. You will never know who the first person that had the idea was.
One of my professors sent out a website which is called Creative Commons. I would say the idea of this website is like Chinese websites. People do love sharing things. If someone shared your pictures, articles, or other things that you made, it’s only because they love your works. There are a lot of people in China who get famous because his or her work that has been shared too many times. When a great work has been shared too many times, people will start to get interested in its author. People used your stuff without asking for a permit, and most of the time, it’s a great thing.
Of course, both Chinese websites and Creative Commons are based on people’s moral standard. If someone uses our work in a bad way, it could be a disaster.
