Earthquake in Japan

I was using the RSS to follow some news about the Japan earthquake. I added several newspapers’ homepages to the Google reader, and it’s really convenient to check several websites at the same time. Delicious is another tool that you can use to check your favorite website. My just created an account: wangcai830. But I would like to use the my Firefox’s bookmark. I would say I might be a good writer, but I’m not a good reader. You can also add all bookmarks that you added in delicious into your RSS. A lot of people tell me that reading newspapers could be a way that can help me improve my English, but I’m just too lazy to do that.

After I dropped my cellphone into the toilet.....

After I dropped my cellphone in the toilet, I did three things:
1. Felicitate: I felicitated that I was wearing gloves at that time. I picked my cellphone up immediately.
2. Want to say thank you: I wanted to say thank you to the previous person who used this toilet, because she flushed the toilet.
3. Feel surprised: My cellphone only cost me 1 cent, but it’s still alive after it was dropped into the toilet. I love my American cellphone.

My favorite city in America so far-CHICAGO❤

I’ve been to Chicago at  least four times, and it becomes my favorite city in America. I love the downtown area which is full of stores; I love the style of houses in Chicago; I love the Chinatown which has home feeling for me. During the past fall break, I went to Chicago with Coe College service-learning to help with homeless people. That’s one of the best trips in my memory. My friends and I slept on the floor of a church. We cooked and made hats for homeless people. I will never forget the smile on the woman’s face who received our hand made hat.
I just came back from Chicago with my boyfriend. We went to the Water Tower Place shopping area and Chinatown to cut hair, I took him to Ghirardelli Chocolate to eat banana split. Except the strong wind, I like everything in Chicago. I hope I can find a job there after graduation and live there for several years or maybe forever ^_^

Some words American students really “like”

I always can hear a lot of students repeat these words which seem interesting to me. When someone is telling a story to his or her friends, they always say,
        “…I was like….”
         “And she was like….”
            “And then, I was like….”
                “…and, he was like…”
Did you notice the same thing with me?
